Filipina Singer Bella Santiago Won The X Factor Romania
After the victory of Catriona Gray in the 67th Miss Universe 2018 and Carina Dayondon who successfully climbed the Seven Summits, another recognition was given to the Philippines as another Filipina made a name in the international competition. Bella Santiago, a Filipina singer, was hailed as the grand winner of X Factor Romania. She rose to fame when she sang the version of KZ Tandingan's "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele in X-Factor Romania, comparing her to the international Diva, Beyonce.
Bella Santiago is originally from Dasmariñas, Cavite who previously worked as a professional singer in Malaysia for several years in a famous restaurant. To pursue her singing career, she moved to Romania. She also joined Romania’s Got Talent in 2017 and signed a contract with the record label, Cat Music.
The 28-year-old singer mashup the hit songs of Beyonce such as Crazy in Love and Love On Top. Bella competed against Doiniţa Ioniţă, Ioana Bulgaru and Cristian Moldovan for the title of X Factor Romania champion and big prize in a value of 100,000 euros.
Upon hearing her name as the winner, she dropped her knees on the floor and cried for happiness. She later gave her speech in the Romanian language.
