Jennylyn Mercado is a Filipina actress, singer, and songwriter. The 31-year-old is one of the most successful actresses and most sought after leading ladies in the Philippines for more than a decade in show business. Last October 2018, she was welcomed by international makeup brand, Max Factor as the first Filipina brand ambassador. She got pregnant with a son by her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia and now in a long-term relationship with actor Dennis Trillo.
In 2014, the Kapuso actress was in a house hunting, helped by her manager, Becky Aguila. Finally, she found a house and lot in Quezon City. Jenny told YES! Magazine:
"Sabi ko, okey, perfect siya. Kasi gusto ko lang naman ng medyo malaki. 'Tapos, 'yong kuwarto, importante sa akin 'yong kuwarto na malaki, kasi marami akong gamit."
"Ayun, no'ng nakita ko 'yong master bedroom, okay na ako dito."
The 31-year-old actress/triathlete revealed that it wasn't her dream house yet.
"Kung dream house ko kasi, gusto ko may lap pool na mahaba, kahit thirty meters, ganyan."
"Para nakakapag-training na rin ako sa loob ng bahay. Hindi na ako lalabas pa."
Jennylyn shared that when she moved into this Quezon City property in November 2014, together with her mother Lydia Mercado and her son Alex Jazz, she felt the luck.
"Simula no'ng lumipat ako dito, parang nararamdaman ko ang suwerte."
"Hindi ako nawawalan ng trabaho."
The Living area was painted with a neutral color scheme. The area rug with varicolored stripes gave it a pop of color. She even decorated the first floor of her home herself.
"Ikaw kasi 'yong ando'n, e. Parang 'yon yo'ng character mo, di ba? 'Yon ang gusto mong ipakita pag may bisita ka."
The two-story modern home that sits on a total of 500-square meter lot has four bedrooms, one guest room, eight bathrooms, two dining areas, two kitchens, a three-car parking space, a family den, and a mini garden.
The foyer is furnished with two high-back upholstered seats and a console table, illuminated by cove lighting and a modern chandelier. It also has another wooden console table made in Pampanga.
The kitchen area, separated from the dining by glass sliding doors, is well-equipped with top-of-the-line cooking appliances. It also has another modern dining set with eight-seater cantilevered chairs.
The guest room in the first floor doubles as an entertainment room with a large sectional sofa, large TV set, an air conditioner, and its own toilet-and-bath.
The second floor is the place where Jen usually spends most of the free time with her family. A three-piece recliner with individual drink holders can be found here.
Jennylyn revealed that she wanted her master bedroom to have a masculine and sleek vibe. All the furniture pieces in her room are custom-made, except her bed which came from one of her previous homes.
