Netizen complained about unauthorized withdrawal of P29,000 from their BDO account.

There are a lot of netizens who took to Facebook their complaints about the sudden and unauthorized withdrawals from their BDO accounts. Last November 26, another netizen lashed out his disappointment on social media after receiving a One-Time Password (OTP) message from BDO without doing such a transaction. An allege BDO staff called him right away and because the line wasn't clear, it was cut off.

One Facebook user named Jester Menes Javierto is calling the attention of BDO Bank after experiencing something stressful and dismaying. On his lengthy post, he narrated what seems suspicious and unauthorized withdrawal on their account.

"Sobra kayong nakakaSTRESS!! Oct 30, 2018. May nagsend ng OTP sa number ko and then may tumawag na taga BDO daw siya (+63 918 617 0096). The line was not clear kaya naputol na. At ang reason ng tawag niya eh yung OTP number na sinend sakin. NakakaBOBO no? Napaka coincidence na may tumawag na taga BDO after na may narecieve akong OTP. Pero in the end of conversation “WALA AKONG BINIGAY NA DETAILS”.

Last November 5, 2018, Javierto loss P29,000 on their account. What made it suspicious is that the registered number was changed without their knowledge. When they reported it, they received a letter after 20 banking days. But to their surprise, the money they lost wasn't refundable.

Someone called BDo to change his registered number without using his own registered number and it was verified thru phone conversation. The reason for changing wasn't even indicated.

On the photo of the transaction attached to the post, it can be seen that the transaction type is fund transfer. The details of the hacker were "JANCEN D. VILLONA - +63 906 922 4645 – 55 Unity Grace Hill Subdivision, Barangay Pagasa Binangonan, Rizal”

On November 4, someone called the BDO Call Center Hotline requesting to change the registered number. The transaction was only done over the phone. Javierto asked to retrieve that call on November 4 and he found that he's the one who called and verified by the BDO Call Center agent. When she was transferred to the Fraud Department, no one can answer him.

At the end of his post, Javierto wrote a letter addressed to Miss Catalina E. Papa, Vice President of the Support Services Head, Transaction Banking Group.

"Ma’am we called BDO and asked them if it’s possible that we talk directly to you since you’re the signatory of the decision made by the bank. All we need are basis why you guys came up with the decision not to refund our money. It’s a hard earned money from an OFW who worked hard away from her family to help her dad in his sickness. Also, as the account holder, I believe that I have the right to know the explanation behind the decision you guys made. As much as possible, I don’t want to blow things out of proportion and please don’t provoke me to ask for legal and media assistance. Everyone from BDO now seems to run away from this situation. I am looking forward to hear from you and will be waiting from a call from your team to resolve this matter with fair judgement."
